It was three o’clock in the morning when the phone rang. I was sleeping deeply but I finally woke up and picked up the telephone.
It was the police, they told me someone had robbed a bank. They had read the license plate of the car and it was my car. I told him I was sleeping so probably someone had stolen my car to commit the robbery.
When I hang up the telephone I quickly called my brother to know if he had commited the robbery, but he was sleeping too. So I called my parents and some friends, but nobody knew anything about my car.
I was feeling very worried when the police called me again. They had found my car it was burnt out in a small road in the country. They asked me more questions but I couldn’t answer anything because I didn’t know anything and I was very nervous. So they told me to wait at home because they were coming to my house to arrest me.
I felt really worried so I needed to smoke in order to relax. So I went out to the balcony and I lighted a cigarette. Suddenly I felt very relaxed but not because of the cigarette. I saw that my car was parked in the street, just where I had left it the previous day. Nobody had stolen it.
Finally a policeman told me the bank robber had changed the license plate on their car to a fake one to cheat the police, and they got it.
